Operations Manager
An accredited nursery professional, Dustyn has a diverse background in the green and landscaping industry. His knowledge varies from annuals and perennials to trees and shrubs. Quality plant selection and proper pruning are details that rank at the top of his list.
Prior to joining Frank’s Dustyn worked for a time in the nursery industry, with experience in growing, production planning, logistics, and inventory. Dustyn also has experience in troubleshooting plant problems, floriculture, marketing, and information technology management.
Dustyn is a Connecticut Accredited Nursery Professional and serves as President of the Connecticut Nursery & Landscape Association (CNLA), where he advocates for the green industry and the environment. Dustyn also is an Adjunct Faculty at the University of Connecticut, teaching Garden Center Management. Most recently he helped in developing an economic impact study of the green industry and an employment study of the green industry. In 2016 Dustyn was recognized as Young Nursery Professional of the Year by the New England Nursery Association. He graduated from the University of Connecticut College of Agriculture, Health, & Natural Resources, and the Wamogo Agriculture Science & Technology Program.
In his spare time he enjoys volunteering with the FFA and taking trips to plant destinations. Dustyn also enjoys sharing his knowledge with others, speaking at green industry events (Northeast Greenhouse Conference and CNLA Winter Symposium) and for the public (garden club meetings).
